If you hire professionals or do it yourself, your furniture should always be handled with care during a move. When you arrive at your new home, your most expensive and heavy items need to be unaffected. Without proper care, wooden upholstery can be damaged, upholstered and glass can be broken.

Fortunately, with a few ways and a few simple tricks, you can remove your expensive home furniture without any damage. Whether you’re moving into your brand new home or taking these things to the garage, these household items need wrapping furniture for storage. The safe removal of these items depends not only on your security system but also on the moving agencies.

Gather your supplies

Transfers can be tough. If possible, you need to isolate objects that do not pass through your door or go down a narrow staircase. If you are also thinking of taking brittle objects or overly valuable items separately, it would be best to have things like beds, armours or wall shelves, tables, and desks.

Furniture should not be moved in a truck without wrapping it in some protective material. Once you have completed your inventory, consider what parts of the upholstery should be transferred. As an example, couch-like objects would usually be wrapped in blankets and tape.

Furniture is being prepared for packing

Before packing anything, take some time to thoroughly clean and dust your furniture. Dirt and other particles can scratch hard surfaces during the transfer process. Cleaning upholstery before you remove excess means you don’t want to drag any useless dirt into your new home.

Take a few minutes to remove any knobs, castors, or pulls from your furniture. Take out the dresser and desk drawers and pack some other small items inside these drawers. This gives you more storage space while lightening heavy upholstery materials for flow.

Wrap the furniture

For the best protection of your furniture, wrap it carefully with pads or blankets. You can use old sheets that you already have. You can buy or rent some transfer-specific blankets from an ongoing distribution company. Start from one end and wrap around the entire circumference of the piece. Be sure to cover the top and bottom of the object extra. Tightly secure the material by wrapping it around the legs of the chair or table with a blanket and plastic wrap.

Loading in moving truck

If you load all heavy objects on one side of the truck, it may be difficult for the driver to control the truck. Aim to distribute your family weight evenly across the truck. Place heavy objects against the walls. It can be easily accessed and left free in the middle of the space for loading and unloading. Slide photographs and mirrors between the two mattresses give them much more protection. If you do not have multiple beds, you can easily use the same technique as couch cushions.

Moving is not too annoying. Remove worries from the equation by packing, securing, and moving your large items neatly. Doing this will help your furniture to reach your new home properly.
